Bring on the beautiful rain!

Ahhh....I absolutely love, love the rain. I got to come home this weekend because the Hoag's (AKA Nanny family) were coming up to PG for holiday, so I decided to snag a ride last minute. So here I sit at 11:33 with my front door open, Sonny (my doggy) next to me, in my house...that I love and it feels so peaceful. And might I add...that it smells SO wonderful! And I am just happy.

Reasons I love rain:
1. My first kiss was in the pouring rain and it was fab. SO rain always brings back good memories.
2. The smell.
3. Umbrellas
4. That my hair goes INSANELY curly when I get rained on.
5. Driving with the wind-shield wipers on.
6. The feeling of being cozy inside and dark and gloomy outside.
7. Jack Johnson. It's a tradish. I have to listen to him while it is raining. I duno, he just sounds so rain-like. Does that even work?
8. You can dance in it, and it makes life so much better.
9. The sound...especially when thunder and lightning accompanies it.
10. That it just makes me feel all home-body like.
11. Galoshes.

And those are my weird reasons I love the rain. And I do really really love it.

Quality Nanny Moment of the Day

Ok, so first off I have to say I ADORE my job and everything that it entails. Best thing EVER. The best part is I love love love the family and love their kids. Everything about em...even the tougher stuff. It makes it good. But I like to put my funny moments and good times on here. One of the best was my creative project me and Natey Naterson endulged in. You MAY have to enlarge the picture to get the detailing hahaha. I am SO proud of my card-board tubed spider-man sleeves. So take a look:

Hahaha I know right? That says, "Lil' Spider Nate" on the sleeves, and then the strings that hang off are his webs, and there is a strap made in the back so that the two sleeves are attached. Ok I am so proud! That is some quality Paper tube-ing I have to admit. Hahah. He loved them. And so did I and I felt mighty might creative. Ok so enough about my proud moment.

To get the full effect of The Naterson please watch the following video. I realize it is on it's side....but it seriously is SO funny. This is his rendition of the ABC'S, and I kid you not he says the same letters every time. So the song does totally work in his mind.

I also REALLY enjoy when he sings to the tune of "M-I-C-K-E-Y, M-O-U-S-E" in his own letters. It usually goes something like: "M-I-P-O-N-G, L-M-S-O-P". Makes me chuckle every single time and makes me remember how I just adore all his guts.

Anyway, I love my job basically. YUP. Check that off my list of things I love, love, love. Did I tell you I love it? Just checkin.

Escuela

I must say that I am loving being back in school! I even have been getting up SUPER early....and if you know me, you know that getting me out of bed is like trying to pull teeth. It's horrible! But lately, I think it is safe to say that it is a good sign that I am waking up not nearly as groggy, which translates that I am getting better for sure! I have a lab at 6:00 AM and Ambassadors at 7:00 AM, so that can always be hard....but it has been good the last few days. I hope that is a good sign! But I am very excited about my classes! I able to take

Anatomy + lab which I am probably most excited about
Family Relations
Math with my favorite professor
English which I love
Fitness center class
and a stupid library class that is required.

But I am stoked. Have to say I love Dixie the second year around. WAY better! More later.

I remember why!

OK, I am back in sunny St. George about to start at Dixie! I remember why I love it so much!! So many people I love are down here, I love, love, LOVE the school, my apartment, my friends, the environment, my ward, the streets! ALL OF IT.
And so here are the pictures....some are funny....of my new apartment. But I love it. Love it love it. Did I tell you I love it? And everyone I have ever tried to convince to come down here is laughing at me for saying that I love it.

So here is my apartment!

My room! Kinda squishy, but cozy.

And my closet which I know is funny to put on here but I am so proud of it. It took me so dang long to figure out how to strategically put everything I have in this tiny closet. But it worked.

More later I guess. The knee is about the size of two footballs....haha which is REALLY interesting down here trying to get everything done as a gimp. It's real hot, and I have gone back to work which I absolutely LOVE my job and the Hoag's. School starts on tuesday, and oddly enough I am excited. We'll see how it all plays out. And this weekend I got to go to our Ambassador Retreat. We went up to Brian Head up in Parawan and it was so fun. We stayed in a lodge and got all of our plans done for the year. So yeah! Thats about it! More later.

WNTW...

Anyone seen this guy??

I think he is beautiful, and witty, and dresses way better than I ever will. It could have worked between us Mr. Kelly....too bad you are gay.
P.S. His bio on his website is FANTASTIC and so funny. Read it!

Sleep Through the Static

Well, kids. It was wonderful. LOVED the Jack Johnson concert with my little (but not so little!) brother. We had a really great time, especially with my new handicapped parking pass (HA! Sweetness huh?), and wheel chair seating. Traffic blew, we were stuck in it for an hour and half believe it or not, going no more than 4 miles an hour. A lot of unhappy words flew from both mine and my brother's mouth...grrr. But it was great despite the weed and booze.....fuh-huny to watch all the partakers though like always. Anyway! Here are a few pictures. It was really hard to get anything decent...but enjoy. I'm headed back to St. George tomorrow! HOPEFULLY for reals this time. None of this surgery stuff again.

Uhm, Hi.

OK did anyone else see this? Ussain Bolt from Jamaica was not only freaking funny, but amazingly fast. Fast enough to start slowing down and celebrating. K....people don't do that in the 100 M sprint. They just don't...except this insane guy.

Guess where I'm going?!?!

Ah yes...Jack. Jack who has made listening to you while raining awesome, kissing while listening to you awesome, listening to you when I am stuck in traffic on the way from St. George awesome, and pretty much just making life awesome. I owe you. So I will GLADLY come listen to you this monday at USANA.

I am SO excited! Wanted to see him for SO long. Too bad Tyface is not here to see him. We both love him lots.

Pictures to come.

I have a confession to make.

When the women's all around competition ended I cried. Cried big tear water tea, alligator, legit tears. I was so overcome by the dedication and hard work these girls have put in. And when Shawn Johson started to cry....I REALLY started to cry. I'm not gonna lie, I really wanted her to get the gold. But I am just thrilled for both of them. Go team USA!

p.s. I am obsessed with the olympics. No wonder I have gotten no sleep since they started.

Dear Mr. Sniper Man

I think you are beautiful. And you have a perfect jaw line. And face. And muscles. And I loved in both Bourne Ultimatum and Vantage Point.

Love, Chels

I want to adopt one day....bad.

So, I have always, always wanted to adopt from overseas. Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to adopt along with have my own kids. I just want a really really big multi-cultural family. But the last few days I have seen this show called Adoption Stories, (excuse my T.V. watching. I have been glued to that stupid couch) and I have cried, no joke, on every episode. Lots of people try to discourage adopting because a lot of times it can be very difficult, but it is something I am willing to take on. I want a baby from Russia, China, Africa (of course), and Mexico....and then 3 or 4 of my own. Yay! These are pictures of orphans from each of the places I told you. Gah! Now I just have to check if that is all ok with my husband and Heavenly Father. We'll see....but I really really wanna.

Pet Peeves SLASH Annoyances

Well, while I have been laying here for what seems like an ETERNITY, I just was bugged today. Not really for any particular reason, but I decided that somedays I just need to have my "I'm bugged, just let me be" days. So I just felt like making a list of my pet peeves and things that really just send me over the edge. Here we go: Ps. You should all try it. It's so....theraputic and wonderful.

1. When we are driving in the car, I really can't handle when I know we are going to turn right and we are in the left lane. It doesn't really matter how long we have until we have to turn right, it gives me SEVERE anxiety if you are not in that lane. Friends that know me really well like to try and purposefully stay in the wrong lane til the last possible minute. This gives me more anxiety than necessary.

2. When people try to talk to me when I am reading....bless his little heart, Papa Gould LOVES to do this. Especially when we are sitting in the Tulsa airport.

3. When my toothbrush isn't covered in a case.

4. No parking at Raintree (my apartment).

5. Drivers who cut you off and think they're awesome.

6. When nurses miss my vein...especially cuz I know I have really awesome veins and they are really easy to get, Every nurse tells me this...except for the ones that miss.

7. When people are mean.

8. When people try and talk to me when a teacher/professor/speaker/in church speaker. It stresses me out.

9. When milk isn't cold.

10. When I really wanna do something and I am too sick/too disabled to do it.

11. Long lines at the post office

12. Having to tell a story over text.

13. When the bathroom, kitchen, and the vacuuming is dirty/isn't done and ESPECIALLY when I don't have the energy to do it.

14. When I am out of glue, on a Sunday especially, and in the middle of scrapbooking.

15. Finally...when people write "Just Married" on your car after you just. washed it.

Whew. That felt really good. I am sure it could go on longer.....cuz all of us when in the moment could be bugged by lots. Oh wait! One....no two more!

16. Paying for gas....which is a liquid.....when I used to spend 20 bucks and now it costs 52 to fill up my tank. UGGGG

17. High costs for text books. And I quote Mr. Craig Blake who used to write a column "Things that Suck" In the Dixie Sun Times (Which is probably the FUNNIEST column you will ever read. I got tears reading it":

"College Book Prices – Actually, the cost is very reasonable when you consider that the paper was weaved in the mountains by Peruvian silkworms. Wait… that isn’t true? Hmmm… I did not know ordinary paper was this valuable. It seems that the more expensive the book, the less it will be used in your class. The price may be high, but the knowledge gained by the diagrams you will peruse will be priceless!"

The end. You should all do it. It feels real good.

Jon and Kate Plus 8

Have you seen this show?! I am in love with this show! It is a documentary about a family who had a set of twins, and then wanted more kids and ended up with sextuplets. SIX KIDS! So now they have six 3 year olds and two 7 year olds. CRAZY. It shows their lives and all that comes with having a ton of kids all at the same age. It is hilarious and lovely. I have dreams sometimes that I am their nanny and I lose the kids! Scary! Anyway, everyone should watch. It's on TLC and I love it. The end.

A couple updates....

I didn't really get a chance to post the cute pictures....well, I look more scary than cute....but Alisa my love Seegmiller, and her love Daxton (who she waited for on a mission and just got home in April), they brought me a happy "one year mark" giant brownie. Love them!

And well the knee is healing pretty ok. For some reason this one hurts a whole lot more than the first one did. It is a lot more swollen and bruised up, but I gonna get better faster I decided. I am hanging in there on lots of pain pills, but it will be nice when I can get up and be a human being. EXCEPT today I got to shower. It has almost been a whole week and that felt more than phenomenal.

The 2008 Olympics are here!

Ok I just watched the opening ceremonies of the olympics and it was so amazing! Now I am all spirited and since I am going to be down so much I will have plenty of time to indulge in my favorite events! I could not even handle the precision and difficulty and magnitude of this opening ceremonies.Everyone should watch it if you have the chance. GO USA!

Surgery Day

Booo. I don't wanna have surgery. But none-the-less, here it comes ready or not. Wish me luck!
Sunday, August 3, 2008

I re-heally want one.

So I am not gonna lie...I am kind of a scrapbook addict. I love it. Now that I am not able to run like I used to and have that as my out-let....scrapbooking has definitely kicked it up a notch for me. And so, I really am gonna ask for this for my birthday...or Christmas. It is beautiful and will take care of all of my lettering slash di-cut needs.
