Thank you Bachelor Jake...

for taking up my ENTIRE day with my girlfriends. Uggghhh, I have never been someone to watch the Bachelor, but shoot, I am hooked. I hate it when this happens and I have to start another show and can't put it down. I really do. But man, he is one beautiful, beautiful man.

Look at him:

Could someone PLEASE find me one of these?
An attractive, sensitive, caring, gentlemen?
That would be awesome.

Well, everyone is sick down here...EVERYONE.
And it has been beautiful in sunny St. George, right near perfect weather...

Until yesterday....

It's cold and rainy.

Spring Break couldn't come any quicker.

Senior Prom

Our "Senior" Prom was a success! It was so fun to go to and have so many participate (185 students to be exact). Everyone was supposed to bring a 65 or older date, and man did they ever love it, on both sides! There was plenty of old music like Frank Sinatra, Glenn Miller, and Elvis to go around. I loved it. Watching them have so much fun and pull moves I didn't know were possible was hilarious! Oh we all got a kick of em, here are some pictures:

These were by far the best (and funniest) dancers of the night. Oh, you've never seen a lady move like that.

We also had bingo. They LIVE for bingo. And let me say, we couldn't get some of them out of there!

Unfortunately our dear friend Nel couldn't make it. We went to visit her though and we had a pretty dang funny conversation. It went a little something like this:

"How many ya'll are Virgins?"
All us laughing by now... and raising our hands.
"Oh, praise Jesus!" she announced.
She continues as we giggle, "now girls, I had three husbands, all dead, and not one-a them never laid a hand on me. Not a one...til we was married. That's what Jesus wants girls! Because if they'll do it with you, they'll do it to you."

Whatever that means. Reminds us of a little conversation we had earlier with Nel. Ha, so happy it went well! More later!

Prank week.

I started up with my regular pranking once again. We had a few good ones, me and Stef.

- Confetti in Ash's car vents. Classic. To perform, with the car off put confetti in car vents, then turn AC on full blast.

Turning on the car = confetti everywhere.

-To Jacki, baby oil in shampoo.

- Next on dock is the fake broken window in a car. Roll down the window all the way and then spread broken glass all over their seat. It should look legit.

I love pranks so much.

What are some of your ideas?

Happy pranking!

More later.

I miss old people.

I do! Because of the recent knee surgery I have been out of work (home care and hospice). The last few days, my bestie Vayla has been doing her clinicals for her CNA and she has come home with some of the funniest stories about Nel Talley that we love so much.  I am so jealous. I can't tell you how hard they make me laugh and how much I love seeing them every day. So it is not the most glamorous work, and most people you ask hate it, but I would take spending time with even the grumpiest old people every day just to make em' crack a smile with a good dose of humor and teasing. Here are some I adore:

I am excited because for Service Council next week we are putting on our "Senior Ball" where you bring an 65+ date. What is awesome is that not only do you have a great time getting to know some real winners, but you get a free ticket to disney land! If you are going to be in the St. George area and want to come register here where it says "young at heart". It is next thursday the 18th from 6-8 at Dixie State College. Oh I can't wait! My cute papa gould is most likely coming to be my date:
Cute little Hawaiian Grandpa. Anyway, I will be so happy to hopefully start working soon! Wish I could tell you about how awesome my patients are...sorry, Hippa for ya.

More to come.

P.S. Tomorrow I get auctioned off as a date to raise money for Haiti with a bunch of other unlucky souls. I am all about raising money, trust me, but this is a little nerve racking. Hopefully I will get sold for at least a dollar. Wish me luck.

P.P.S. For those who have tried to ask me how my knee surgery went and are wondering...went real good! Much less than we thought it would be. Third time's a charm! Thanks for all your prayers and thoughts.

Jack talk Thai...

Oh I am so stoked. I leave on June 9th for Thailand! I know I have said it before, but I got my flight schedule (which sucks by the way) and my ticket is bought....that makes it real. I love traveling and have been able to do 2 humanitarian trips and this will be number 3! My life goal is to do work on each continent and so now I have 3 down....we'll keep working on that goal. I got put on the medical committee and we will be doing so many amazing projects. Visit here to find out about youthlinc, the amazing program we are going with that was named as one of the top non-profits to watch.

What is going to be sweet also is that students going from Dixie are going to "diverge", meaning after we have worked our little tails off serving, we are going to do some site seeing for 5 days after:). Lucky for us Thailand is one of the cheapest luxury destinations in the world...wanna see an idea of what our hotel is going to be for about 16 bucks a night per person?? And some of the boat rides you can take? Here is a sampling:

Fairy Dust

Well, since I have been posting some of my little girl stories, my cousin Brynn reminded me of a classic one that must be shared.

This is my cousin Brynn:

Now I don't know that I could pick a FAVORITE cousin, but if I could she definitely would be my favorite. She is THE most bubbly, funny, enthusiastic, make ya feel good all over person in this world and I look up to her so much. I idolized her especially when I was little and my favorite thing ever would be when she would come babysit or we would have cousin dates. She would take me to do all kind of fun things. She made it magical...in many ways. One of the funniest was every time it was dark and we were waiting in the car or having a sleepover she would say, "Chels! Look! Can you see the fairies?!" "No! I can't see them!" "Ok close your eyes! I bet they will come sprinkle fairy dust on you." So I would close my eyes and imagine all of the fairies in the room. Then all of the sudden I would feel a sprinkling on my face. "Wow!" I would reply, "there really are fairies!" The fairies would leave me treats, tootsie pops to be exact, and I loved it!

Later I found out Brynnie knows how to gleek (building up saliva in the salivary glands using some stimulus, like sour food or yawning, and then pressing the tongue upon the glands, causing the saliva to shoot out, usually at an impressive distance.) really, really well. That fairy dust, was sprinkling her spit on me by gleeking. HA! Finding out it was spit was like finding out about Santa. Oh well, I seriously was so amazed and it made my childhood great.

You have to read Brynn's blog. Her family is adorable and she has to be one of the best moms ever! Her kids are equally as funny and have the best personalities. To read one of my favorite mom stories from her go here. HILARIOUS. You can tell by some of these (my favorite) pictures of her kids just how cute and funny they must be. Check it out, their story is amazing.

They are little dollies huh?! Oh how I love em. The rest of their blog can be found here.

Uhhhh...kill me now.

I am laying here in the surgical center waiting to go in for my 4th knee surgery. I am annoyed.

To make things worse, there is a thin curtain between me and a couple that got engaged last night. It started out cute, and then me and my mom mouthed to each other, "oh that's sweet." Not any more. I am ready to burst out laughing and rip through the curtain and tell them to talk quieter about their lives in the future.

I am starting to hear things like this:

"Hun, so we can take out like an 8 thousand dollar loan and blah blah blah, and have 50 extra dollars so we make sure we can go on dates every week."

"Hun, babe, I can come bring a red box and whatever you want when you are done."

"Babe, huny, when we have kids, what do you think we will name them?"

"We should probably get our bridals done this weekend and then we can make sure we go skiing after...and we will have to make sure that finger is covered up."

"Babe, babe, kissy kissy, babe, hun, babe, hun....kiss kiss...gag me with a ski pole."

"Babe, dental school will be great...so great."

"The williams have big eyebrows, that means YOUR kids are going to have big eyebrows."

"I would just sign up to be with some doctor in some inner-city place and then you could live in the suburbs with the kids. How many do you want to have? How do you use birth control then??"

HA! Kill me

Not many people know...

How much I love rap.

It's true! I think it is hilarious the lyrics they can come up with,  the beat, and how fun it is to dance to. I don't think I am one to just stick it in and listen to it all the time, but when we are with the girls we LOVE to have dance parties. They always laugh as soon as they see how much of the song and have memorized I am generally called "gangsta cheltz"....seriously. I can't help it. For some reason also I am really good at memorizing lyrics and movie lines. I don't know if it is because I did theater when I was younger or what, but if I hear it  twice I usually have it down pretty good.

So in the words of Swiss Beatz "go head lil' mama"...listen to some rap this week and think of me.

P.S. I am sorry I have been really bad at blogging lately, it has been INSANE. You will definitely get a lot more up to date this week because I am stuck in Orem with my knee up. Surgery I will be having tomorrow so I will see what is wrong then. Wish me luck! This is my 4th surgery in 2 years on the knees. Kill me.
